About the Hospital

BWMC is a suburban community hospital consisting of 311 beds, and 2,600 employees supported with group practices of more than 600 physicians to include resident rotation and faculty affiliation with the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

BWMC is situated near the Chesapeake Bay, an exciting place to live, work and explore, because of the diversified lifestyles that are offered. The hospital is located between Baltimore, Washington and Annapolis thus providing easy access to cultural, recreational and educational opportunities.

Within the past 6 years, BWMC has expanded its services to include: a new 69 bed Emergency Department, freestanding Comprehensive Cancer Center, Wound Healing Center, The Maryland Vascular Center, The Baltimore-Washington Hip and Knee Center and a newly developing Advanced Orthopedics Program.
